Sp ring Harvest!
Easter week heralded a new mission for the Worshiplanet Band.
A team of eight musicians from five nations gathered to form
the Worshiplanet Band. Together they led worship for Britain's largest
annual gathering of evangelicals at Spring Harvest. The WP Band met in London for a full day's rehearsal, keeping their hosts' Jon & Jackie busy with airport pickup's and team meals.
The following day the team loaded up two vans and headed west out of London.
Once in Minehead, a coastal town in West Somerset, the team unpacked and set u p stage for five days of worship. During the Easter break, 55 thousand believers from across the UK gathered to attend Spring Harvest. Spring Harvest is a pan-evangelical gathering. It is a multi-week, multi-location family oriented programme. Each day the international band filled The Big Top (a circus tent capable of holding 4000 people) with music. Team members representing Iceland, Italy, China, the Czech Republic and the USA
took their places on stage. The daily schedule included leading worship in the morning sessions and the evening celebrations.
Individuals within the WP Band conducted workshops and led worship in smaller venues. Mark taught a 'New Songs Workshop' from the
Spring Harvest 07 Songbook where his songs were featured. Afterwards, the Worshiplanet Band headed back to London and to their respective countries. Check out the gallery for pictures of the concert by Jon Cherry.
